TOURNAMENTS
All tournaments are hosted by Old Salt Fishing Foundation. Old Salts hosts six major saltwater fishing tournaments, with their signature event bine the King of the Beach Kingfish tournament. Team SeaSchool will be participating in the events noted below. Watch for our posted results after these events.
26th Annual Johnny Killar Inshore Fishing Tournament
Dates: January 28th & 31st
Location: Gators on the Pass – Treasure Island, Florida
Species: Redfish (photo release), Black Drum, Sheepshead, Flounder and Sea Trout
Prizes: 1st Place – $300; 2nd Place – $200; 3rd Place – $100 (per species)
Al Autenreith Master Angler wins $500 & Trophy
23rd Annual Spring King of the Beach Kingfish Tournament
Dates: April 28th – April 29th – April 30th
Location: Madeira Beach, Florida
Species: King Mackerel and Spanish Mackerel
Prizes: $50,000 1st Place – 50 ways to win
The Spring King of the Beach is a 3 day waterfront festival.
6th Annual 102.5 The Bone Fishing Slam
Dates: June 16th – June 17th – June 18th
Location: Madeira Beach, Florida
Species: Multiple Inshore and Offshore Species
Prizes: over $19,000 in prizes
The Bone Fishing Slam is held in conjunction with the Baddest BBQ on the Bone
45th Annual All Release LOOP Billfish
Dates: August 23th -27th
Location: Madeira Beach Municipal Marina – Madeira Beach, Florida
Species: Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish & Swordfish (Catch & Release Only)
Prizes: TBD based on boat entries
The LOOP Tournament is the final event in the Florida West Coast Triple Crown Billfish Series
Ladies Inshore / Offshore Fishing Tournament
Dates: September 8th & 10th
Location: Madeira Beach Municipal Marina – Madeira Beach, Florida
Species: Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, Sea Trout, Redfish (photo release), Flounder, Spanish Mackerel & Sheephead
Prizes: 1st Place – $500; 2nd Place – $300; 3rd Place – $200 (per species)
23rd Annual Fall King of the Beach Kingfish Tournament / Mad Beach Food Fest
Dates: November 3rd, 4th & 5th
Location: Madeira Beach, Florida
Species: King Mackerel and Spanish Mackerel
Prizes: $50,000 1st Place – 50 ways to win
This event is held in conjunction with the Mad Beach Food Fest.
